You can set or change the start date on packs, Intro Offers, and Memberships at any time. Start dates work two ways: at checkout (for the kinds of items that support a future start) and after purchase (on any individual Perk via the Admin Website).
Selecting a start date at checkout
A future or past start date can be selected at checkout for Continual Memberships. This is the most common use case — letting a Client purchase today but begin a Membership on a specific day of the month (the 1st or 15th, for example).
From the cart or sales screen, select the Continual Membership.
Have the Client sign any required waivers or contracts.
When prompted with start options, choose Select start date instead of Immediately.
Pick the desired start date (it can be in the future or backdated).
Click Save and continue to return to the point of sale and complete the transaction.
Fixed Length Memberships and other one-time-purchase items (Class Packs, One-on-One Packs, Intro Offers) do not include a start date picker at checkout — they begin immediately on purchase by default.
Editing the start date on an existing Perk
After purchase, you can freely set or change the start date of any Perk on any pack, Intro Offer, or Membership through the Admin Website. This is especially useful when a Client wants to delay use of a pack or when you need to backdate access for any reason.
Open the Client's profile from the Admin Website.
Under Active Items (or Future Active Items if it hasn't started yet), click the pack, Intro Offer, or Membership.
Click into the Perk whose start date you want to set or change.
Set or update the Starts field.
Click Update.
Things to know
The start date on a Perk can be set, unset, or changed freely. It's no longer locked in once it's been assigned a date.
When you set a start date in the future, the item appears under Future Active Items on the Client Profile and on the Client's My Items screen in the fitDEGREE App until that date arrives.
Changing a start date doesn't affect a Client's existing registrations — only future registrations against that Perk.
