Can I Edit a Waiver?

Modified on Mon, 24 Feb at 11:43 AM

Waivers in fitDEGREE are legal documents, meaning their text cannot be edited after they have been created and signed. However, there is an option to edit whether the waiver must be signed once or before every registration or purchase.

What Can Be Edited?

  • You can change the signing requirementto:
    • One-time signing – The client signs once and does not need to sign again.
    • Sign every time – The client must sign the waiver for each registration or membership purchase where the waiver applies.

How to Update Waiver Text

If you need to change the language of a waiver, you must:

  1. Copy the text from the existing waiver before deactivating it.
  2. Create a new waiver, paste the old text, and make your necessary updates.
  3. Attach the new waiver to your classes, memberships, events, or series so that all clients will be required to sign it before their next registration.
  4. Deactivate the old waiver to prevent further use.

Important Notes

  • You cannot edit the text of an existing waiver after it has been created.
  • If a waiver includes references to virtual content, it will automatically be classified as a virtual waiver.
  • Always ensure waivers are properly attached to the necessary services to require client signatures when needed.
