If you have a Class Pack, One on One Pack, Intro Offer, or Membership that includes a Guest Perk, you can send a Guest Pass to a friend directly from the fitDEGREE App. This article walks you through both ways to send: from a Class you're registering for, and from your My Items screen at any time.
Sending a Guest Pass from a Class registration
When you're on a Class detail screen, you'll see a Bring a Friend button below the Class banner image.
Tap Bring a Friend.
On the next screen, choose a friend from your app friends list or tap Bring Someone Else for friends who don't have an account.
If you choose a friend, tap Send Guest Pass.
Confirm the send.
Your friend receives a push notification letting them know a Guest Pass was sent to them. They can claim it from the notification or the next time they open the app.
Sending a Guest Pass from My Items (not tied to a Class)
You can also send a Guest Pass at any time, without going through a specific Class first.
Tap the You tab in the bottom navigation.
Select My Items.
Under Active Items, tap the Pack, Intro Offer, or Membership that includes a Guest Perk.
From here, the exact path depends on the item type:
Class Pack, One-on-One Pack, or Intro Offer — tap Send Guest Pass from the item detail screen.
Membership — tap into the Guest Perk you want to send from (the Perks list shows each Perk separately), then tap Send Guest Pass.
Choose a friend from your app friends list or tap Bring Someone Else for friends without an account.
Complete the send.
Sending to a friend with no fitDEGREE App account
If you tap Bring Someone Else, you can share a Guest Pass externally:
Tap Send a Guest Pass.
Use the share button to send the link via text, email, or any other app on your device.
Your friend opens the link, creates a fitDEGREE App account if they don't already have one, and claims the Guest Pass. A use is only deducted from your Guest Perk once they claim it.
What you'll see after sending
After you send a Guest Pass, you'll see a confirmation screen with a share button at the bottom:
Guest pass sent
A guest pass has been sent to [Friend] — a use will be deducted from your guest perk once they claim it
Valid for 1 use from [start date] to [expiration date]
Not yet claimed
When the use is deducted
A use is only deducted from your Guest Perk once your friend claims the Guest Pass. If they never claim it, you don't lose a use, and you can keep sending Guest Passes until your Guest Perk runs out of uses or expires.
Once a use is deducted, you'll see your Guest Perk's remaining uses count drop on your My Items screen.
Things to know
Share links from the Bring Someone Else flow work indefinitely — as long as your Guest Perk is still active and has uses remaining.
If your source item (pack, Intro Offer, or Membership) expires or runs out of Guest Perk uses, any unclaimed share links stop working. The recipient will see This guest pass has expired if they try to claim.
The Guest Pass your friend receives inherits the same applicable Classes or Services as your Guest Perk. They can use it for any of those, not just the Class you started the flow from.
If your friend cancels out of a Class paid with their Guest Pass, the use returns to their Guest Pass — not to your Guest Perk.
