If a friend has sent you a Guest Pass, you'll need to claim it before you can use it to register for a Class or One-on-One Appointment at their studio. Claiming is quick and works the same way whether you already have a fitDEGREE App account or you're brand new to the studio.
Claiming a Guest Pass sent via push notification
If you and your friend are connected as friends on the fitDEGREE App, they can send a Guest Pass directly to your account. You'll receive a push notification.
Tap the push notification, or open the fitDEGREE App and look for the new Guest Pass under Notifications.
Tap to open the claim screen. If the Guest Pass was sent for a specific Class, that's shown.
Tap Claim Guest Pass.
Once claimed, the Guest Pass appears under Active Items on your My Items screen, ready to use for any applicable Class or Service.
Claiming a Guest Pass sent via share link
If your friend sent you a Guest Pass through a share link (over text, email, or another messaging app):
Tap the link your friend shared.
If you already have a fitDEGREE App account, you'll be taken straight to the claim screen.
If you don't have an account yet, you'll be prompted to create one at the studio first. Then you'll see the claim screen.
Tap Claim Guest Pass.
Once claimed, the Guest Pass is on your account and you can use it to register for any applicable Class or Service.
What happens when you claim
The Guest Pass appears on your Client account at the studio.
A use is deducted from your friend's Guest Perk at the moment of claim.
The Guest Pass inherits the applicable Classes or Services and the expiration of your friend's original Guest Perk.
The Guest Pass has a single use, but if you cancel out of the Class within the studio's early cancellation policy, the use returns to your Guest Pass for you to use again.
If you can't claim
Sometimes a Guest Pass won't be claimable. The most common reason is that the source item (the Pack, Intro Offer, or Membership your friend sent it from) has expired since the link was first shared. In that case, you'll see the message This guest pass has expired and you won't be able to claim.
Other things that can prevent claiming:
The source Guest Perk has already used up all of its sends.
The Guest Pass has already been claimed by someone else (only the first person to claim a share-link Guest Pass gets it).
If you run into any of these, reach out to the friend who sent it — they can send a new Guest Pass if they still have uses available.
Using a claimed Guest Pass
Once a Guest Pass is on your account, it works just like any other payment option. When you go to register for a Class:
Open the Class detail screen and tap Register.
On the registration screen, your Guest Pass appears in the list of available payment options.
Confirm the registration.
The Guest Pass is automatically applied if it covers the Class. If you have other payment options too (a Membership, Pack, or other items), you can tap Change to choose which one to use.
Things to know
A Guest Pass is single-use and covers one registration at the studio that sent it.
Your Guest Pass appears under Active Items on your My Items screen until it's used or expires.
If a Guest Pass was sent for a specific Class, the claim screen says so — but once claimed, you're not locked into that specific Class. You can use the Guest Pass for any Class or Service the original Guest Perk applies to.
Multiple Guest Passes from different friends can sit on your account at the same time.
