How to Send a Guest Pass from the Admin Website

Admins can send Guest Passes from the Admin Website on a Client's behalf — useful when a Client has a Guest Perk and wants to bring a friend but isn't using the fitDEGREE App to do it themselves. Admin-sent Guest Passes are placed directly on the recipient's account and are ready to use immediately.


Sending a Guest Pass through the Admin Website is meant as a backup utility. Most of the time, Guest Passes should be sent by your Clients directly through the fitDEGREE App, where the recipient gets a push notification or share link to claim the pass.


Where to find it


Guest Passes are sent from inside the Client's source item — the Pack, Intro Offer, or Membership that contains the Guest Perk. The path differs slightly by item type.


From a Class Pack, One-on-One Pack, or Intro Offer

  1. From the Admin Website, search for and open the Client's profile.

  2. Under Active Items, click the Pack or Intro Offer that contains the Guest Perk.

  3. On the item's detail modal, click Send Guest Pass.

  4. Search for and select the recipient Client.

  5. Confirm to send the Guest Pass.


From a Membership

  1. From the Admin Website, search for and open the Client's profile.

  2. Under Active Items, click the Membership.

  3. Open the Perks tab.

  4. Click the specific Guest Perk you want to send a Guest Pass from. (If the Membership has more than one Guest Perk — for example, a Guest Class Perk and a Guest One-on-One Perk — each appears as its own row in the Perks tab.)

  5. On the next screen, click Send Guest Pass.

  6. Search for and select the recipient Client.

  7. Confirm to send the Guest Pass.


What happens when you send


Sending a Guest Pass from the Admin Website:

  • Deducts one use from the source Guest Perk immediately.

  • Places a Guest Pass directly on the recipient's account, under their Active Items. The recipient can use it to register for any applicable Class or Service through the fitDEGREE App.

  • Does not notify the recipient. Admin-sent Guest Passes are added silently, since the recipient may not yet have an app account or may not need a push notification.


Sending from expired, active, or future active items


On the Admin Website you can send a Guest Pass from any item — expired, currently active, or future active — as long as it still has Guest Perk uses remaining. This gives you full flexibility:

  • Use an expired item to backdate a Guest Pass for an old unpaid Class.

  • Use a future active item to send a Guest Pass ahead of the source item's start date. The Guest Pass inherits the future start date and isn't usable until then.


Things to know

  • Guest Passes sent from the Admin Website can only be used to pay for other Clients' registrations — not for the original holder's own registrations.

  • Any Admin role can send a Guest Pass from the Admin Website. There are no permission restrictions on this action.

  • If the recipient already has a fitDEGREE App account, the Guest Pass appears the next time they open the app. They don't receive a push notification for Admin-sent passes.

  • If you want the recipient to be notified, the Client should send the Guest Pass through the fitDEGREE App's Bring a Friend flow instead.

  • You cannot purchase a standalone Guest Pass through the Admin Website. Guest Passes always come from a Guest Perk that's already on a pricing option the source Client owns.
