Why Do I need Class Groups?

Modified on Wed, 24 May, 2023 at 4:37 AM

Class groups are a major factor in designing payscales for your employees, packs, intro offers, and memberships. These groups help categorize your services to simplify future processes for the creation of pay-out methods for team members and payment methods for clients. You can also assign different cancellation policies to different class groups.

Payscales
A class group is used in a payscale as a defining feature. For example, in your payscale, you will see all class groups listed. From there, as a studio admin, you can select all class groups to have similar, or differing pay rules. As a result, the admin system will know how to more accurately track your payroll for you.

Class Packs, Intro Offers, and Memberships
A class group is relevant for packs, intro offers, and memberships because it is similar to a service category. When creating your pricing options, this allow you to easily select a group of applicable classes for this pack or membership.

Cancellation Policies
While you can set all your class groups to use the same default cancellation policy, you can also override the default and set a different policy for each of your class groups if you so choose.
