What is a Team Member Payscale?

A Team Member Payscale determines how an instructor is compensated per class group or one-on-one service. Each instructor can have:

  • One Class Payscale (applies to all class groups assigned).
  • One One-on-One Payscale (applies to all private session services assigned).

Payscales directly impact payroll calculations, and any updates to classes or services require editing existing payscales to ensure instructors are paid correctly.

When Should I Edit a Payscale?

A new class group is created → Make sure all payscales have a defined pay rule for this class group.
A new one-on-one service is added → Update the one-on-one payscale.
Instructor pay changes (e.g., promotion, adjusted rate).
New bonus structures are introduced (e.g., per check-in or payment method bonuses).

How to Edit a Team Member Payscale

Step 1: Navigate to Payscales

? Menu > Setup > Team > Class Payscales

Step 2: Select the Payscale to Edit

  • Find the payscale you want to edit.
  • Click the three dots to the right of the payscale.
  • Select "Edit" from the dropdown.

Step 3: Modify Pay Rules

  • If adding a new class group, select it and attach the correct pay rule.
  • If adjusting pay rules, click "Pay Rule" > "Add Rule" to create a new one.
  • Set or adjust:
    • Base pay (per class or per hour).
    • Bonuses (per check-in, total check-in bonuses, or payment method bonuses).

Step 4: Save Changes

  • Once all updates are made, click “Update” to save.

Things to Note

New class groups or services will not automatically be assigned to payscales—they must be manually added.
All changes will apply retroactively—if you update a payscale today, past and future payouts will reflect the new rate.
Each instructor must have both a Class Payscale and One-on-One Payscale assigned separately if they teach both types of sessions.

By regularly updating payscales, studios ensure accurate payroll calculations, fair compensation, and streamlined reporting in the Team Member Payout Report. ?
