What are the differences between a pack and a membership?

So … what makes something a pack and what makes something a membership? ALSO, how are my memberships ending up in the class pack reports in the client accounts?!?!

Lot's to unpack here, I know. Let's break it down piece-by-piece.

A pack is a payment option that is a single purchase. A client will process a cart with a pack, finish its uses or surpass its expiration, and then require a new pack to continue booking. Packs can have any number of uses and can only be used as a registration payment option for Classes.

A membership is a payment option which is either a fixed length or recurring purchase. Consider your membership to be your term for continued pack application. This is because inside of each membership is a generated schedule for recurring billing as well as pack generation for perks of classes, one-on-one sessions, or a combination of both.

So... why do memberships end up in a client's class pack report? Because the membership is the payment structure but the perk built in is the generation of packs tied to the membership. Thus, if you want to view a client's expired uses from a time period, you should view open in more reports> class packs.
