Team Member Training Guide

Modified on Wed, 27 May at 7:37 AM

fitDEGREE maintains a dedicated Team Member Training page for new staff coming onto the platform. It's a single, structured walkthrough that gets a new front-desk team member, instructor, or manager from zero to first-shift ready in under an hour.

The guide is hosted on its own page so you can send the link to anyone you're onboarding — they don't need a fitDEGREE login to read through it, only to complete the practical steps.

Where to find it

Open team-member-training.netlify.app in any browser.

What's inside the guide

The page is organized into four steps your new team member can move through at their own pace:

  • Training Videos — a curated playlist covering scheduling, Client management, reporting, and daily studio operations. Recommended viewing before a first shift.

  • Client Experience — links to the fitDEGREE Client App on iOS and Android, plus the web client at app.fitdegree.com. Understanding what Clients see helps your team support members confidently.

  • Support & Help — contact paths for technical questions and self-service articles at guide.fitdegree.com.

The page also includes a setup checklist that tracks progress on each item. The checklist lives on the team member's device, so they can come back, pick up where they left off, and walk into their first shift confident.

How to use the guide as a Studio Owner or Manager

Send the link to every new team member as part of your onboarding process. Common ways studios use it:

  • Include the link in your offer letter or onboarding packet.

  • Walk through the checklist together during a paid training shift.

  • Bookmark the page for your team and refresh staff periodically on the basics.

  • Send the link to seasonal or substitute instructors so they can self-serve onto the platform.

What you (the Admin) still need to provide

The training guide assumes the team member has been added to your fitSpot in the Admin Website. Before sending the link:

  1. Add the team member under Setup > Team > Team Members.

  2. Assign their permission level — Company Admin, fitSpot Admin, Manager, or Team Member.

  3. Share their login credentials by whatever method your studio uses.

  4. Make sure they know who their first point of contact is for day-to-day questions (you, a manager, or a lead instructor).

Things to know

  • Day-to-day studio questions should always route to the team lead or manager first. The training guide encourages new team members to direct technical and platform questions to support@fitdegree.com.

  • The page works on any browser, so team members can read it on a phone, tablet, or computer — no app download required to access the guide itself.

  • The training playlist is hosted in Google Drive. If a team member can't open the playlist, check that they're signed into a Google account.

  • Encourage team members to play with the Admin Website and OnTheGo App during training — hands-on practice beats reading every time.
