How to Make a Purchase on Admin for Another Client

Modified on Fri, 23 Jun, 2023 at 1:37 PM

If you have a client who wants to make a purchase on behalf of someone else, you must first enter your settings and ensure you have enabled purchasing of items and account balances for others. Once this is done, there are two different places on the admin where a client can make a purchase on behalf of a friend.

From the Point of Sales:
If a client is buying for another client and it is not directly associated with a session, the easiest place to start is the cart.

Step-by-Step
  1. Click on the menu button in the top left corner of the admin
  2. Click on the cart
  3. Search the clients name who is paying for the item
  4. Select the item
  5. Next to the item on the right hand side, click on the three dots
  6. Select Purchase for Someone Else
  7. A new tab will appear which indicates your client is "buying this for" and from here you will search the client who they are purchasing on behalf of
  8. Once this is done, select a payment method and process the order. The receipt will go to the account of the client who paid and the item will go to the account of the client receiving the gift

From Check-In Screen:
If a client is buying a single Class session, Series, or Event for another client, or making a purchase of a pack for a client while they are registering for a session, you will process this sale from the check-in screen (clicking on the $ sign).

Step-by-Step
  1. Click on the Class/Event/Series which the clients are registering for
  2. Click to View Details
  3. If the client is not registered, register them for the Class/Event/Series and then click the dollar sign. If they are already registered, proceed to click the dollar sign.
  4. Click the text which says "Someone else is paying for me" at the top
  5. Search for the client who is paying for their friend
  6. Select which payment method they are using (class pack or drop in)
  7. Select the payment method and complete the sale. The receipt will go to the account of the client who paid and the item will go to the account of the client receiving the gift
