Guest Perks let your Clients send Guest Passes to friends — the core mechanism for bringing guests to your studio. To enable this for a pricing option, add a Guest Class Perk or Guest One-on-One Perk as an Extra Perk when you create or edit a Pack, Intro Offer, or Membership.
Where Guest Perks can be added
You can add a Guest Perk to any of the following:
Class Packs — as an Extra Perk in addition to the required Class Perk.
One-on-One Packs — as an Extra Perk in addition to the required One-on-One Perk.
Intro Offers — alongside the Class or One-on-One Perks that grant access to the offer.
Memberships — as part of the Included Perks on the Membership template.
You can add more than one Guest Perk to the same item — for example, a Membership that includes both a Guest Class Perk (for friends to attend Classes) and a Guest One-on-One Perk (for friends to book One-on-Ones).
How to add a Guest Perk during setup
When creating or editing a Pack, Intro Offer, or Membership:
From the Admin Website menu, go to Setup > Payment Options.
Select the item type — Class Packs, One-on-One Packs, Intro Offers, or Memberships.
Click the plus sign to create a new item, or click the three dots next to an existing item and choose Edit.
Navigate to the Perks section. (For packs, this is the third step of the create flow.)
Under Extra Perks (on a pack) or Included Perks (on an Intro Offer or Membership), click Add extra perk or Add perk.
From the Choose perk type screen, select Guest Class Perk or Guest One-on-One Perk.
Configure the Guest Perk's settings (see below).
Save the item.
Configuring a Guest Perk
Like other Perks, a Guest Perk has its own settings:
Number of uses — how many Guest Passes the Client can send (or check Unlimited uses).
Value per use — relevant for payroll on Guest One-on-One Perks if you use revenue-based pay.
Applicable Classes, Class Groups, or Services — which Classes or Services Guest Passes generated from this Perk can be used for.
What changes for existing holders
Adding or removing a Guest Perk follows the same rules as any other Perk:
On a Pack or Intro Offer template, adding or removing a Guest Perk only affects future purchases. Existing holders keep what they originally got.
On a Membership template, adding or removing a Guest Perk takes effect immediately for all current Members.
Editing what Classes or Services a Guest Perk applies to takes effect immediately on all existing holders, regardless of item type.
Things to know
Guest Perks are not a global studio setting. They're controlled per-pricing option — you decide which packs, offers, or Memberships include guest privileges and how many guests each holder can bring.
There is no setting to disable Guest Passes for the whole studio. If you don't want Guest Passes available, simply don't add Guest Perks to your pricing options.
On the fitDEGREE App, the Bring a Friend button appears on every registrable detail screen if you have Social Purchases enabled. Whether Clients can actually send a Guest Pass from there depends on whether they hold an item with an active Guest Perk.
