You can edit a Membership template at any time to update its details, billing, Perks, or other settings. Membership edits behave differently from Class Pack and Intro Offer edits — most changes to a Membership template take effect immediately for everyone currently on that Membership, so read this whole article before making changes.
Where to find it
From the Admin Website, click the menu icon in the top left corner.
Go to Setup > Payment Options > Memberships.
Find the Membership you want to edit.
Click the three dots to the right of its name and select Edit.
What you can edit
Details: title, description, where it's for sale, attached waivers and contracts.
Does this include virtual content: toggle for Live Stream and other virtual access.
Pricing: billing frequency, amount, registration fees, and discounted periods.
Perk renewal dates: set how each Perk renews (if Perk Renewal Dates is enabled for your studio).
Included Perks: add a new Perk, remove an existing one, or edit settings on any existing Perk.
What changes take effect immediately for all Members
Unlike packs and intro offers, Memberships propagate most edits to existing holders right away. The following changes take effect immediately for every Client currently on the Membership:
Adding a new Perk to the Membership template — all current Members instantly gain access.
Removing an existing Perk from the Membership template — all current Members instantly lose access.
Changing which Classes, Class Groups, or Services a Perk applies to.
Changing conditional tags on the Membership.
This is a meaningful difference from packs and intro offers. If you want a change to affect future purchasers only, you'll need to create a new Membership template instead of editing the existing one.
What changes apply only to future purchases
Pricing changes do not affect Clients who are already on the Membership. For current Members to be billed at a new price, you need to cancel their current Membership and sell them a new Membership at the updated price.
Things to know
The Perk edit modal includes a notice at the top listing which properties can't be changed on an existing Perk. If you need to change one of those, delete the Perk and create a new one in its place.
The shareable setting now lives on individual Perks, not on the Membership as a whole. If you want to change whether a portion of the Membership can be shared, open the relevant Perk and toggle This perk can be shared.
If you save a Membership with no Perks included, the system will prompt you to confirm — Memberships without Perks don't grant the Client access to anything.
