You can cancel a Client's Membership from anywhere in the Admin Website — the Membership detail modal opens directly over whatever screen you're on (check-in screen, report, or Client Profile) so you don't have to navigate away to make the change.
Where to find it
Most common path: from the Client Profile
From the Admin Website, search for and open the Client's profile.
Under Active Items, click on the Membership you want to cancel. The Membership detail modal opens.
Alternate paths
Because the Membership detail is a modal, you can open it from any screen that shows the Membership:
From the Check-in screen, click the Client's payment icon to open How they paid, then click the Membership.
From the Memberships report, click View membership on any row.
Canceling the Membership
In the Membership detail modal, open the Settings tab.
Click Cancel membership.
Choose when to cancel: Immediately, At the end of the current billing period, or As of a chosen date. Selecting a chosen date opens a date picker.
Click Next.
Type cancel in the confirmation box.
Click to confirm. The Membership is now set to cancel as of the date you chose.
Things to know
If you select As of a chosen date, you may want to apply a discount to the last bill to prorate it manually.
The Membership modal has four tabs: Info (Client, Start Date, End Date, Status, Freeze Status), Billing (Update Billing, Active Bills, Future Bills, Add Custom Bill, View Paid Bills), Perks (active Perks and option to send a Guest Pass), and Settings (where Cancel and Freeze live).
Canceling a Membership does not automatically remove any active Guest Passes that have already been claimed by other Clients. Those remain valid on the recipient's account.
