The Advanced Tag Filter Option is a component you can find in many reports throughout the fitDEGREE Admin website! In this article we are going to review how it can be leveraged successfully! To do so, we are going to breakdown the component into smaller sections. But first, let's talk about how to access this component.
On many screens with reports involving Client Lists you will see an option on the left side to "+ Add Tag Filter," by clicking on this you will open up your Advanced Tag Filter Options in the center of your screen on a new tab.
Client Tag Filters
Following the selection to "Add Tag Filter" the image below will appear on-screen as a new tab. These are your Client Tag Filters. At this point you can add information to one, a few, or all boxes, and then click to Apply these Advanced Tag Filters to your Client List.
The remainder of this article will review each section and how it can be leveraged for your use in Reports.
The section titled "Has all of the following tags" will filter your Report or Client List to all clients who have every tag listed within the box.
For example if I add the Tags "Member" and "Volunteer" then the list of Clients will filter to only Clients who have BOTH tags on their profiles.
The section titled "Has any of the following tags" has a similar logic to the one above but with one major difference. This will filter your Report or Client List to all people who have one, a few, or all of the listed Tags.
For example if I add the Tags "Member" and "Volunteer" then the list of Clients will filter to all people who have the Tag Member, all people who have the tag Volunteer, and all people who have both Tags.
The section titled "Does not have any of the following tags" is meant to filter your Report or Client List to exclude people with any of the listed Tags you select.
For example if you add the Tags "Member" and "Volunteer" then the list of Clients that will be removed with have any variation of one or both of those tags.
The section titled "Had a tag with the color" is meant to help you filter your reports by Color labels.
Inside of your Tag Management settings you can assign colors to tags. In addition, you can create labels for those colors to set the intention behind their usage on Tags. This option allows you to quickly filter a report by a Color which might be associated with one or many tags at once.
Above is an example of how the drop down will appear if your Colors have some labels.
Above is an example of how the drop down will appear if none of your Colors have labels.
Once you have added a filter to your Client List or Report then you will continuously see the option to Edit Tag Filters, unless all filters are removed.
Clicking on this edit button will pop open the tab in the center of your screen to access any filters you might not have yet applied and give you the ability to adjust all filter options at once.
That being said, once you apply a filter type, it can be edited from the left side of your screen without needing to re-launch the Client Tag Filters. See image below for reference.
Once you click on "+ Add Tag" this will launch editing capabilities without needing to reopen the entire component for Client Tag Filters.
