Tags and Memberships

Memberships and Tags are related via Conditions. A Conditional Tag can be applied to a Membership in order to have the Tag appear or be removed based on a Client's Membership status.

This Condition to relate a Tag to a Membership can be established in two different ways. First, a Condition can relate a Tag to a Membership and be established via New Membership creation. Second, a Condition can relate a Tag to a Membership and can be added or removed via editing a pre-existing Membership.

This article is going to review how to apply a Conditional Tag to a Membership in both of these flows. But first... let't discuss how to locate Memberships in your Admin.

To locate memberships you will click on the Menu button in the top left corner of your screen. From here, you want to select Pricing Options and then from the drop down select Memberships.

When you are in the Membership page, you are ready to review your options and assign them Tags!

Conditional Tags - Adding to a New Membership

In this initial flow we will discuss how to add a Conditional Tag while in the flow of creating a new Membership. To get started, within the Membership page, click on the plus sign next to the page title.

Once clicked you should land on a brand new page which is your Membership template. Fill out all of the relevant information in this template to create a completed Membership.

For the purpose of this article we will only focus on one section of the template, and that is the section titled "Conditional Client Tags."

To link a Membership to a Tag via a Condition, you will want to click on the button that says + Add Tag.

Once clicked, a drop down of all previously created Tags and the ability to create a new tag will appear. Select the desired Tag you want Conditionally linked to your Membership.

Reminder - A Conditional Tag inside of a Pricing Option, like a Membership, is applied and removed as the Membership is purchased and later expires or is cancelled. A Conditional Tag does not restrict Membership purchase to a specific subset of Clients.

If you would like to add more Tags, click on + Add More. You can add one, a few, or many Tags through this process!

Once you have selected your Conditional Tags to link to this Membership, finish the template and click on Create to finalize your Membership into your Admin Pricing Options list.

Conditional Tags - Editing a Current Membership

Adding a Conditional Tag to a Membership that is already in existence is a quick edit you can do!

First thing you'll want is to locate your Membership you would like to add a Conditional Tag to. Once located, click on the Edit button to the far right.

Selecting to edit the Membership will open the template for you to work inside of. Once in this template, locate the section that says "Conditional Client Tag."

From here, click on the + Add Tag button in order to link a Tag to your Membership as a Condition.

Once clicked, you will have the ability to select a Tag from a list of previously created options or to create a new Tag in this flow.

When the Tag is selected, it will be indicated in the box under Conditional Client Tags. You then can continue to add more by clicking + Add Tag, or conclude any additional edits you need to make and then click Update.

When editing a Pricing Option and adding a Conditional Client Tag, be sure to note that all Clients who have this Pricing Option will be updated to also have this Tag on their Client Account.

When editing a Pricing Option and removing a Conditional Client Tag, be sure to note that all Clients who have this Pricing Option will be updated to have this Tag removed from their Client Account.
