Can Clients Access Livestream Sessions on the App?

Modified on Wed, 24 May, 2023 at 4:37 AM

As of January 1, 2022, Apple began enforcing their "in-app" purchase fee of 30%. In an effort to keep Studio owners money in their pockets, fitDEGREE has blocked the purchase of "virtual content" from the Apple app. Clients that try to purchase or register for a registrable marked as "virtual" will receive a message letting them know that they cannot register or purchase virtual items on the app. At this time, per apple guideline, we are not allowed to direct them off app on where to make that purchase.

So... What is there to do?

Thankfully fitDEGREE's platform online is a Progressive Web App. This means that the online experience is extremely similar to the in-app experience. As a result, directing people to your app share link or app.fitdegree.com is a great solution. Clients will be able to also save the Web App to their phone as a home screen button that they can use and function just like the downloaded App.
