Difference between a Payscale and a Pay Rule

Within a payscales you can signify that different levels of instructors have different forms of payment. Within these scales, you can designate pay rules based on the class group and instructor experience level.

Payscale: a grouping of pay rules based on an instructors experience or contract type. Within a payscale are 1 or multiple pay rules that outline how and what an instructor will be paid for various services (classes only). Example: The Senior Instructor Payscale may have two pay rules within it, one for premium classes, and one for standard classes.

Pay Rule: the amount and type of compensation associated with each class group within a payscale
