Why do I need to add a Tag to a Retail Item?

Adding tags onto your retail items allows you to create groups from which to separate your sales into for your own records.  For example, if a studio were to tag items as: accessories, clothing, food, and beverages, then these would be the tags that appear in the reports section of your fitDEGREE admin. To find this breakdown, simply select reports, revenue, then click into the retail option and all of your tags will appear broken down factoring into your total income based on their tags.

Additionally, the creation of tags allows you to have easier control of the tax function of your Retail screen. For taxes, you would be able to click the button that says "Manage Retail Tags" and set a default tax per tag.
