Managing equipment efficiently is crucial for fitness studios using spot booking in fitDEGREE. This guide outlines the process of creating and overseeing equipment types and items, ensuring a streamlined experience for both staff and clients.
Creating Equipment Types
Enable Spot Booking: First, ensure spot booking is activated. If not, select the spot booking icon in your setup area for information on enabling it.
Navigate to Equipment Types: From the fitDEGREE admin dashboard, access the setup area. Click the menu button, then choose "Spot Booking" from the drop-down. Here, select "Equipment Types."
Add New Equipment Type: Click the plus sign (+) next to "Equipment Types" to create a new type. You’ll need to provide a name, a prefix (for labeling), and the quantity available.
Finalize Creation: After entering the details, click "Create." Your new equipment type will now be listed, allowing for further actions such as preview, edit, or manage.
Managing Equipment
Edit Equipment Types: To modify an equipment type’s name or prefix, click "Edit" next to the relevant type.
Manage Equipment Items: Selecting "Manage Items" will take you to a detailed view, where you can adjust each item's status, view registrations, and more. Options include marking an item as "Out of Order," editing labels, and adding notes visible to clients.
Delete Equipment: To remove an equipment type, use the trashcan icon. Be cautious, as this action cannot be undone.
Key Considerations
Notes Visibility: Any notes added to equipment items are visible to clients. Ensure all notes are appropriate and convey necessary information effectively.
Item Status Management: Regularly update the status of each equipment item to reflect its current condition, ensuring a smooth booking process.
By following these steps, you can create a well-organized equipment management system within fitDEGREE, enhancing the overall functionality of your spot booking feature.
