What is a Widget and How do I use it?

A Widget is the implementation of HTML coding into your website in order to directly place your fitDEGREE live schedule, one-on-one services, or announcements onto your website. Below is a step-by-step process for how to implement these widgets into your website. All processes are the same, just be sure to make sure you switch between the three tabs to implement the widget for the proper item to your website.

Within the admin there is a section in Setup called Integrations which houses Widgets; here is where you can find the code you'll need to add your live schedule, daily schedule, one on one appointments, or announcements to your website. In order to do this though, you'll need to accomplish some main steps. 

First and foremost, you need to get the footer code (javascript in step 3) into their website footer. This is necessary for the widget to appear. The only exception to this would be if they have a wix website. 

Following this, they can then take the code from step 1 and embed it into a code block in their desired page on the website. 

Each website has its own methods to make this happen:

  • Enter the website and click on the add button
  • Click embed 
  • Choose HTML
  • Click Enter Code
  • Paste in Step 2 from the admin
  • Paste in Step 3 from the admin
  • Click Apply and the widget will appear

  • Enter the website and click on settings
  • Click on advanced 
  • Click on the area to edit the code 
  • Scroll down to the footer and paste in step 2 from the widget page 
  • Click save
  • Go to the desired page on your website
  • Click to add a code block to the page
  • Paste in step 2 from the widget page

  • Go to Plugins
  • Download Insert Header Footer
  • Open the Plugin
  • In the footer section, paste in the code from step 2 from the widget page on the admin
  • Click to save
  • Exit and go to the desired page on the website 
  • Click to add a code block to the page
  • Paste in step 2 from the widget page 

Don't forget Pricing Options!
Under the one on one packs, class packs, intro offers, and memberships, as someone is creating their website they may want to add their pricing options. As a result, they may need the share links for these. Be sure to only create buttons for active pricing options for sale on App and Admin. For this, you'll need to locate the pricing option on the admin, click on it, then click the share button. This will open a new tab which allows them to copy the share link for their pricing option. Once this is done, you can create a button and hyperlink to the share link for fitDEGREE for the pricing option to be purchased online.
